On-site activities at Lower Mill
Lower Mill Estate offers a wide range of leisure and wellness facilities and on-site activities, making it an ideal destination for both relaxing breaks and active holidays.
Lower Mill Estate Leisure and Wellness Club
The Leisure and Wellness Club features a family-friendly heated indoor swimming pool, a seasonal heated outdoor pool and an eco pool, together with a sauna, steam room and Technogym-equipped gym.
Guests may also relax in the library and reading area or enjoy a choice of luxury treatments, available at an additional cost. Treatments use products from The Natural Spa Factory and are designed to leave guests feeling balanced, recharged and restored.
Swimming Pools
Swimming sessions at the Leisure and Wellness Club must normally be booked online 24 hours in advance. Each property may book one one-hour session per day, choosing either the indoor or outdoor pool, subject to seasonal opening times and availability.
Guests should arrive promptly, as sessions may be reallocated if they arrive more than 15 minutes late. During the low season, advance booking is not required on Fridays. During the high season, Friday sessions must be booked in the usual way.
Guests also have complimentary access to the heated Mill Village outdoor pool, located within easy walking distance of all our properties. Heated to approximately 30°C, it is open from 8:00am until dusk throughout the year and does not require advance booking. Shower facilities are available on site.
Please note that the Mill Village pool is unsupervised, and guests swim at their own risk.
Gym
The gym is available on a first-come, first-served basis and does not require advance booking. There is no time limit on gym use, although capacity is limited to 10 people. Opening times vary depending on the season, and guests are advised to check the current hours during their stay.
Ballihoo Restaurant
On-site restaurant and clubhouse serving delicious, locally sourced food for the exclusive use of homeowners and guests. Offering a comprehensive breakfast, lunch, dinner, drink and takeaway menu, we recommend booking in advance to guarantee a table. In addition to this there is an outdoor pizza shack located right next door (view opening hours).
Activity hub
The onsite activity centre at Lower Mill Estate, provides cycle and water equipment for hire offering the perfect adventure ready to explore the beautiful outdoors. We recommend booking equipment in advance of your stay.
Other on-site activities
- Tennis and MUGA courts, a great spot for some friendly competition. Slots can be booked on the individual sign-up boards located outside the courts.
- Children’s play area, the ideal place for your little ones to have some fun!
- Soft play area, you can book 40 minutes’ exclusive use, for up to five children per family/group. Sessions can be booked every hour from 0930 – 1530.
- Wildlife, explore what the nature reserve has to offer. From bird watching to spotting nocturnal beavers and otters on the lakes, there is something for everyone.
Please note use of lakes is not permitted between October and April to protect overwintering birds.
Onsite activities are managed by Lower Mill Estate.
