The view is to die for and the Lodge definitely has the wow factor

I stayed with my family (9 of us in total) at Island Lodge for a long weekend. We were celebrating my Mum’s 70th birthday. I booked the Lodge as a surprise for my mum and when she walked in I got the reaction I was looking for she could not believe it all she kept saying was OMG and WOW. The Lodge is absolutely beautiful so spacious it has everything you need and more! The view across the lake is amazing so lovely to see the swan’s and the duck’s swimming along so peacefully. We had a wonderful time there.

Tranquillity and luxury all in one place

My husband and I stayed at Island Lodge for a few days and then great friends joined to celebrate some special birthdays! The accommodation and venue were absolutely beautiful. Everything from the crockery, coffee machine and champagne glasses were excellent quality and added to feeling of being pampered!
The rooms are all gorgeous and the views amazing. the swans and geese were like pets by the time we left, popping across the lake to say hello!
Kasha Grimes helped us to organise the stay and was on hand at every text and email message to ensure we had a wonderful and memorable stay. Thanks to the children in the next villa who were playing Swallows and Amazons taking their kayaks to the little island on the lake. they made me smile and brought back lots of lovely childhood memories….wishing I was still 10 and reading children’s adventure books!

Luxurious and Tranquil Lakeside Getaway

From the moment we arrived it was clear that this was not going to be an average holiday rental experience. I don’t have anything except positives to say!

The property exudes style, elegance and sophistication whilst still managing to feel exceptionally comfortable. The large open plan living space is stunning and the views across the lake, especially as the sun was setting, were just wonderful. The cupboards were well stocked with high quality home-wares and utensils that made cooking a delight and we enjoyed making use of the excellent coffee machine. We stayed on a cold and dreary day but were kept beautifully warm by the wood burning stove and under floor heating. The shower in the master bedroom was heavenly, we had great fun using the table football and the whole place was spotlessly clean!

Despite us having neighbours, the house and its grounds felt extremely private - like we were the only ones there! And I’m sure in summer it would be the perfect place to enjoy a bbq and little pootle on the lake in a rowing boat! The staff we met were very pleasant and the experience from beginning to end felt effortless and luxurious.

We enjoyed a trip to Lechlade and a mooch around the antique shops and there were several nice country pubs in the surrounding villages - I just wish we’d had more time to sample them all!

Our trip was a lovely, tranquil break - the perfect antidote to the hustle and bustle of city life.

Terrific venue for a celebration weekend

Extended family across 3 generations stayed at Island Lodge for the weekend.

The house is fantastic; the views stunning; the rooms luxurious; every amenity from kitchen appliances & utensils, bathrooms to utility room are excellent.

The spa at Lakes by Yoo had just opened and we had the fantastic facility (20m infinity pool, well spec’d gym) all to ourselves one afternoon. It was tops. The staff that we did encounter were all extremely polite & keen to offer us whatever assistance we needed.

We were blessed with great weather and so ate lunches outside on the patio overlooking the lake… yes, in March. We loved it so much that we even cancelled local lunch bookings as we simply knew nowhere could be as comfortable & glorious as sitting out in the sun drinking in the view.

I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this property.

A Wonderful Christmas

Just wanted to drop you a short note to thank you for all your effort and hard work for making my families stay incredibly memorable. We had a wonderful Christmas in large part to the thoughtful and helpful way you had approached the letting. I really appreciate it.
