Larchwood Lodge, The Lakes By Yoo - Testimonials
Another fantastic stay !
This is our 2nd stay at Larchwood Lodge and I just had to write again as our 2nd visit was even better!!!!
Last time we came it was winter, so we were overwhelmed how the whole estate transformed during the summer months.
With the new Spa opening and some decent weather, lots to do locally and further afield, we could not believe our luck.
Sometimes a 2nd visit is not as good as the 1st, the complete opposite here!!!
The moment you enter this 2nd home development/nature reserve an overwhelming feeling of piece and serenity overwhelms you.
The decking is to die for, so secluded and a real sun trap.
We made good use of the excellent spa (additional charge per rental, a one off charge worth every penny) , pool and club house, treatments are reasonable priced, however you do need to book in advance so best to contact concierge service prior to your arrival.
We did not but we were lucky as they did all they could to accommodate our last minute needs, therapists are not on site, so book before you arrive.
The house was as immaculate and stylish as I had remembered and there was the same great attention to detail, owners are continually adding new iconic pieces to the house.
Kids loved the new Egg chair in the living room and I relaxed on the large Barcelona sofa in a master bedroom whilst enjoying magnificent views.
We did not see many people on the estate, with only approximately 50 houses built on 5 Lakes however the few that we bumped into were always smiling, I am not surprised I would if I was an owner!!!
This place is a real Jewel in The Crown, trust me you will not believe that a place like this exists in the UK .
Only 5 minutes way from 2 villages with all necessary amenities and lots of bigger towns with excellent options for shopping ( Bath, Oxford, Bristol, all within 1 hour)
Thank you once again for an incredible stay. We will be back !
Ps.Kasha thank you for the little extras, that made our stay so enjoyable, you have thought of every last little detail.

Incredible experience and lovely owner
The incredible experience we had was made even better by the fantastic weather, and as for the owners; they did everything possible to make us feel welcome introducing us to the best places to eat and places to go.
Yes this is definitely an exclusive spot and if you are there to party into the early hours then you are likely going to the wrong place. This is a tranquil spot and it is also great for the whole family (there is a play area where the kids can play to their hearts content over the lake behind) and the spa is with basketball court is fab too. My son and his friend spent hours playing at the facilities or floating around on the lake in the kayak.
The house is beautiful and full of furniture you see in the magazines but they do also practically cater well for children; we took our six month old baby with my 13 year old son and his friend. They all had a ball.
The surrounding area is great too with lovely pubs and restaurants; we also made friends with the local wine merchant who kept us in good wine all week ;o)
Thank you Kasha - we will be back very soon. We forgot who nice a holiday in the UK could be.

Just Perfect
Wow - what can I say! My family and I stayed here to celebrate 2 special birthdays and it was perfect!
The house is beautiful and exactly the same as the photos - nothing staged for the camera, it really is that incredible. With a love of contemporary design I really appreciated the little touches of class from Philippe Starck chairs to the dualit toaster all the finishing are of the highest quality. It is fun, modern and quirky which made a lovely change to the typical to-let furnishings which are often sombre and generic verging on commercial.
It was perfect for us with age ranges from 7 months to 75, everyone loved it. The open plan was great for ‘dining in’, we had a fabulous meal cooked on the BBQ and then brought inside as the sun went down. All the equipment was provided so it couldn’t have been easier.
The weather was awful but it didn’t dampen our spirits - it was a shame we couldn’t make use of the enormous decking and enjoy a few more drinks enjoying the spectacular views across the lake but that’s England for you.
Kasha was incredibly helpful and made the booking very simple. She is very proud of her home and rightly so, great communication throughout and very relaxed, she even suggested staying on after the scheduled check out time as there was no one booked in the next day. That doesn’t happen very often!
The complex itself does have an air of exclusivity which may not be to everyone’s taste but we loved the fact that we were made to feel like VIPs for the week. The pool and spa areas are as you would expect; top notch, with facilities better than many 4/5* hotels we have stayed in.
We stayed off peak and had the whole place to ourselves on several occasions - it felt like our own private health club - and pool is enormous! We even managed a game of basketball which brought back memories of a misspent youth.
I cant recommend this place highly enough it was just perfect.

Amazing!!! Can’t wait to return!
I cannot rave enough about how fantastic this place is. I have been recommending it to everybody I know as have my family. Larchwood lodge was a STUNNING property, very tastefully designed and furnished to a very high quality, real luxury! The property has everything you could need from dishwashers, to washing machines/dryers, kettles, toasters and plenty of cutlery and crockery.
All of the major supermarkets deliver there (Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Asda). We were a party of 12 which included 4 children. Having the shopping delivered to our door was so convenient.
The children in particular had a great time, there was a lot for them to do on the complex. A swimming pool, a park and of course free Canoes to use around the lake.
Kasha (the owner of the property) is AMAZING! She was extremely helpful, informative and very welcoming. She answered all queries we had and was very very accommodating. A real star!
We have travelled to many 5 star resorts and other exclusive resorts internationally and this was definitely up there. Not only was the property of a very high spec, the resort was too. The views from the property are breath taking, very tranquil. In all, it was a great find and within easy reach.
I can’t wait to return, it is a shame it is booked up for the rest of the summer as we would have loved to have returned with friends for the weekend. Although it may seem pricey, don’t hesitate you must book, only when you get there you will realise it is worth every penny. You will not be disappointed!

“It has the wow factor!”
A remarkably peaceful location. Larchwood Lodge is in impeccable condition and equipped to satisfy the discerning taste. Flowers and Champagne made us feel even more welcome. The master bedroom is truly massive, and the other three bedrooms are large double bedroom size. The whole of the lake facing (south) side is fully glazed, giving spectacular views from all the rooms. The on-site Spa is also well equipped with a large swimming pool, steam room and sauna, and lounge. Well worth a visit or two. Everything possible was done to make our stay a pleasure, and it worked!

Tranquil & Relaxing - Any time of year
Larchwood Lodge is situated on the beautiful Longdoles Lake and benefits from amazing views throughout the day. The lodge itself is large, with ample living space, nicely furnished, and easily capable of accommodating 8 people.
The process of renting the lodge was straightforward and the owners made every effort to ensure our stay was relaxing and uninterrupted. Access to the onsite concierge made our stay that extra bit special and with the new spa development opening that weekend , we were able to appreciate the new facilities on site; which include a swimming pool, spa, gymnasium and games room, on top of the pre-existing tennis courts.
Nearby, the lodge is surrounded by some fantastic country pubs and beautiful landscapes.
Larchwood Lodge is a perfect place to spend a week or a long weekend with friends and family - you will instantly feel at home in the Lodge and you will never tire of the views.

A slice of heaven!
What a weekend! Larchwood Lodge lived up to our every expectation, and more . . . The website photos were stunning, and we certainly weren’t disappointed - when we arrived, my friends were open-mouthed and couldn’t stop saying ‘wow’! The owner, Kasha Grimes, made sure that everything we wanted was there and our every need was catered for, and all done with such grace and a genuine, helpful attitude. The combination of luxury, peace and tranquillity is a tonic for the soul. I will definitely be going back again, and again!

Very relaxing and comfortable
We stayed for 5 days at Larchwood Lodge, part of the development called Lakes by Yoo. It was a beautiful setting, right on the lake, and the whole family loved sitting out on the spacious balcony watching the swans. The house was nicely furnished with great attention to detail. There was nothing missing. There was plenty to do — we went Kayaking (the boats are available for use to tenants) and there was a great playground for the kids on the development, together with a well-equipped gym and a small clubhouse. We ordered a meal through the concierge service the first night we were there and they can organise food deliveries, etc. I highly recommend this as a get-away for the family.

Luxury in a beautiful setting
This is an immaculate, light, modern house with beautiful views of the lake, trees and sky from all the living areas and bedrooms. It is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need - the owner really has thought this through - from the welcome hamper (a gourmet selection of coffee, tea, olive oil, chocolate, champagne) to quality soaps, body lotions and scented candles throughout. It is luxurious but not precious - we went with 4 teenage boys. There are also very good restaurants in the immediate area as well as in Cirencester.

Cotswolds Serenity in the Lap of Lakeside Luxury
My family and I spent a magical four days at Lakes by Yoo in a truly serene location gazing over one of 6 beautiful lakes, away from it all. The house itself was beautifully appointed, superbly equipped and immaculately serviced. I cannot recommend it enough. If you really want to get away, you can spend your days lounging on the lakeside terrace. Or you could also take out a row boat, a bike or stroll around over 600 acres of woodland and trails. Alternatively you could venture off campus to Daylesford Organic or a multitude of top class pubs and restaurants in the area, but there really isn’t any need with a well equipped kitchen and a giant bbq on the terrace.

Five star luxury !
Having previously had a wonderful stay over Christmas at another property owned by the proprietor we decided to take my parents away for their birthdays in March to Larchwood Lodge. This property is at the higher end of the price range but wow was it worth every penny! What a perfect weekend we had. Again the owners were delightful, so quick to respond to my enquiry and so helpful with all the arrangements.
The property is stunning. The interior is beautifully designed, so comfortable and the height of luxury. The attention to detail is second to none, with a fantastically equipped kitchen with two full sized freezers and two full ice freezers. There were lots of special touches around the house such as a welcome tray, magazines, and lovely toiletries. Tea, coffee, toilet paper kitchen foil etc had all been provided. There was an exceptional standard of cleanliness throughout. It was the thoughtful extra touches that I thought were so great, such as champagne on ice on arrival. For guests with small children there was even a baby emergency pack with everything you could need in it.
There is an excellent concierge service and on the Saturday evening we hired the chef who cooked us an excellent meal at the very reasonable cost of £40.00 per head. My mother and I also took advantage of the visiting spa service to have an amazing massage.
The setting of Larchwood Lodge is fabulous. It is totally secluded with amazing views of the tranquil lake. I would love to come back in the summer to sit in the sun on the very large sun terrace and maybe go out in a canoe.
We didn’t want the weekend to end but sadly we had to come back to reality. The only comforting thought was that we were already making plans for our third visit !

One of our most memorable holidays!
We stayed at Larchwood Lodge for four nights and it will be one of our most memorable holidays! The Lodge itself is incredibly luxurious (even better in the flesh than in the photos), so much so, we didn’t want to stray very far. The open plan living area and floor to ceiling windows enabled an uninterrupted view of the lake, and although much of our time was spent relaxing and taking in the incredible lake views, when we did venture out there was lots to do ‘on site’. We explored on foot, bike (provided on request) and even by rowing boat. Our daughter loved the trampoline and zip wire on site and she was brave enough to swim in the lake (a bit chilly in May!) The lodge was so big my parents joined us during our stay. Even then there was still a spare bedroom, which converted to a cinema room, much to our daughter’s delight. Although the lodge is expensive in peak season, we were able to take advantage of the off-peak mid-week offer rates (making it good value for us). Kasha, the owner, was delightful to deal with and extremely helpful. We really appreciated the little welcoming ‘extras’ she provided. We look forward to returning!

Elegant, indulgent & luxurious”
My husband and I treated ourselves to a stay at Larchwood Lodge in November 2010. It is a beautiful, spacious property, with an open plan fully equipped kitchen that flows through to a chic dining area and living space with the most comfortable sofa that was great for lounging around! The bedrooms are huge and stylishly decorated, with luxurious bathrooms. The windows are floor-to-ceiling, and look right across the lake, it was very peaceful to watch the swans drifting around on the water.
The lodge is so lovely we didn’t feel like going out much, preferring to stay in, cook, watch films on the large LCD tvs and soak in the spa bath. But we did venture out a for a couple of bike rides and explored the lakes, which was great fun. As our stay was in November it was quite cold and foggy outside, but the underfloor heating kept us wonderfully warm and the mist over the lake in the mornings was beautiful. We are planning a return visit in the summer to take advantage of the sundeck.
Overall the lodge felt very private, serene and modern, with attention to detail and every comfort provided for. We cant wait to return.

We can not put in words how great our weekend was. It was lovely to spend time together in such wonderful surroundings.
Ella, our granddaughter, just loved ever moment of it - especially the swans.
Des, the Birthday “boy”, thought the lodge was amazing and none of us wanted to leave.
Once again thank you for a weekend we will all remember for a long time.

October 2010 - Larchwood Lodge
We arrived home safely and having just had dinner and talked about the whole experience have all agreed that we will never forget our time together in Larchwood Lodge. We just chilled out and looked at the lake and enjoyed our time together and we have all said that we would love to go again with the girls partners Edward and Trevor in the future because it is just such a special experience and quite unique. Your attention to detail is wonderful and the little touches like the arrival tray and the wonderful scents in all the rooms say a lot about you.
It was everything I wanted it to be. Kasha and I am so glad that I found you when searching for something so special for us all.
August 2010 - Larchwood Lodge
Dear Kasha and John,
I hope you are well.
We just wanted to write to say we enjoyed our weekend in Larchwood Lodge so much! We all had an absolutely wonderful weekend of luxury, tranquillity and fun!
Larchwood Lodge is a true gem - beautifully designed, luxurious, opulent and homely. We all felt so comfortable and welcomed from the moment we arrived – the house exudes warmth and panache. The entire weekend was perfect, flawless, and we are so grateful for your effort in making it a really memorable break!
Lydia and Andrew took advantage of the Kayak and the jogging paths, whilst I and Pawel opted for a more leisurely time relaxing on the deck with a glass of wine! The weather didn’t put us off at all; the magic of the lake is that it looks stunning in every condition, constantly changing, mist, ripples and colour… I don’t think you could ever tire of the view!
The Estate itself was superb, such effort has gone into the design of the place, we felt completely secluded – brilliant not to be able to see the neighbouring lodges, and to have the entirely unspoilt view.
Without doubt you have created:
Child friendly – perfect family location (you weren’t exaggerating when you said the house was equipped with everything!)
Luxurious and opulent design
A unique and cosmopolitan way to enjoy the countryside
Secure and Safe
Something to suit everyone, from Kayaking and cycling to cinema and Wii
Ideally located – perfect to explore the Cotswolds, easily accessible from London.
Seclusion and privacy without feeling remote.
All in all a unique, unforgettable and inimitable experience
Best Wishes,
